if you are looking for and interracial romance story with a great chemisty between the an alpha male who is tamed this is the story for you. Steamy love scenes that makes you hot and cant keep this book down. This is the story for you.
Desperate times call for desperate measures and that is how Joy found herself shoplifting in a high-end store and getting caught in the process by Keane Kavanagh, the owner. Keane Kavanagh wanted Joy and was biding his time before he would seduce her to his lair. Keane's plans were accelerated by a staring contest he had with his intended victim in the subway, a little pinch on the great behind and a meeting that led to the grand finale, a proposition to Joy to be his mistress.

What Keane wanted he was determined to get by any means necessary, but would his underhanded manner destroy the tentative relationship he had with Joy?

I liked Taking Joy because the main characters were not perfect but were fighting to overcome their personal demons as the story progressed. Keane was a little too aggressive to the point of being uncouth, but it worked well to counter the heroine who had a feisty and impulsive personality. Crushed but not defeated into submission, Joy was determined to overcome her predicament despite engaging into some activities her Mama would never approve of. From the beginning, this author clearly defined Keane's character that was shaped by his past, and for Joy, her present needs depict who she becomes.

everybody had flaws in this book, except the kid. Joy was an overall decent person just trying to make it and do right by her son. With a deadbeat baby daddy and a rich man--which one do you choose? It's a coin toss, because the rich man had problems, too. I was glad Joy had grit and didn't mind fighting back. Story went on a little too long and I think the male should have hunted her down and begged for forgiveness, after he found out she was setup by an old gf. In the end, he just luck up on her and tells her he had a vasectomy a long time ago--WTH! Good to know he came around and realized his brother needed help, but would have been better if he realized he needed counseling, also. I could never feel a deep connection between the two characters.
Loved it! Loved it! Loved it! This book made it hard for me to put it down. Great book, my own opinion though.
I liked this book a lot. The characters in this book were well written. The author made this book very intersting I stayed up late reading this book. This is another book that I would recommend to all who read romance novels. To the author You could not have done a better job. Then again maybe you have. This is an excellent book.

It was dry and boring. I am sick of interracial romance novels being about nothing but a simple physical attraction (and a forced one at that!!) i mean this man was a complete jerk! no good redeeming qualities, so how could she fall in love, because the sex was good??? i get that something traumatic happened and he cuts himself off from people. so now he's determined to buy this girl so she'll sleep with him and then he's done. why?? the only motivation in the entire story was sex. and this is supposed to be a romance? please!! Since when does being physically attracted to someone equal love? where is the true romance? sex does not equal love. come on people get it together!!

where oh where are the true interracial ROMANCE books?????
I recommend this book because it is about jealousy, dominance and love. When more than one woman loves a man but only one wins makes for an enjoyable read
